CLASS 1: YOUR HOME IS A MIRROR
This introductory module explains the energetics of how our home is a mirror for ourselves and how we can help our client shift from making decluttering a lifestyle rather than a to-do list. When we can see the power our home holds in manifesting what we want, this shifts our perspective in how we can help our client approach decluttering.
CLASS 2: FORMING IDENTITY THROUGH OUR STUFF
Our stuff is an externalization of ourselves in the world. It is synonymous with our ego and necessary for being here and why we form an identification - the Id. Helping our clients identify what identity a certain object(s) holds is the key to understanding why they are holding onto it. From there, coaching the client around whether questions, such as Is this an identity that is still serving you? Does it need to release or integrate? Where the client is currently challenged or feeling stuck, i.e. relationships, career, etc., gives priority of where to begin with a client.
CLASS 3: UNHEALED WOUNDS AND MEMORABILIA
Releasing things from the past inevitably brings up grief. In this module, we'll discuss how to help your client recognize and move through unresolved wounds from the past. In tangible form, we'll discuss the tricky topic of how to deal with memorabilia. When is too much too much?
CLASS 4: COMMON EXCUSES
This module will cover the common excuses that comes up when working with clutter, including gifts, just in case, being wasteful, etc. More importantly, you'll learn what these excuses are really covering up and how to help your client see their blind spots. This is where the trickster ego mind will give one last try to hold on to something.
CLASS 5: CLUTTER COACHING TECHNIQUES
In the final module, we'll integrate everything learned and do some mock run-throughs of working with clients, including basic coaching techniques of creating a safe space, active listening, effective questions, creating self-reflection, designing action steps, and managing accountability. We'll also discuss how to incorporate clutter coaching into your existing work.
