Our Earliest Experience With the Law of Attraction: Our List for Santa

Posted by on December 1, 2010

Over Thanksgiving I watched my favorite holiday movie, Elf. At the end, Buddy’s brother reads off of Santa’s List in order to draw more Christmas spirit. As I watched this, I realized how this was our first experience with manifesting what we want in life.

Santa was our magic genie – our benevolent Universe – that delivered what we wanted.

According to the Law of Attraction, we simply state what we want, add emotion, let it go, and don’t worry about the “How.” This is exactly what we did as children with our list for Santa. We stated or wrote down what we wanted – with lots of emotion and passion – and then let it go. Those items we felt the most passionate about, we were more likely to receive.

We didn’t worry about the “How.” We didn’t worry about how Santa would find the exact item, how Santa would find our house, how Santa would fit through the chimney, or how Santa would make to everyone else’s house.

Instead we just trusted.

And we believed in prosperity for everyone.

How did these early experiences shape how you manifest today? Did you get what you wanted for Christmas?  Or was yours conditioned upon your behavior? And how has this shaped your expectations to this day?

What’s on your Santa’s List for this year?
