Hi Trish! First of all I wanted to thank you for being such an inspiration to us all! You're messages are truly amazing... Congratulations on your new book release!

Recently, I took on a very exciting task of opening a yoga studio in the heart of Glendale. My Grand Opening is on May 1st! you are welcomed to join us... On another note, it needs a lot of work and decorating... I would love to have you come over and check it out, and give me some cool tips.

Have a great weekend!

My biggest challenge in my home is my studio. I want to work, but I walk in, look around, and walk out. I just have not been able to get comfortable in that space.

As some things in my life have grown difficult, my home has grown cluttered and less welcoming. I am anxious to reclaim my space and make it back into a true home. I know that other aspects of my life will also fall better when I am can be more at peace with my house.

These are great responses everyone and good information for me knowing what common problems we have in our home. Keep them coming!!

@Janet- I have a blog article on children memorabilia on the Home page of my blog (left side).
@Meg- Just because you can do it yourself, doesn't mean you shouldn't hire someone. I know you and know that you could probably do just about anything, but that doesn't mean you should. Save your time for those things you do and enjoy the most.
@Rob-Thank you! Sounds like positive changes are underway!
@Akemi- I used my dining room table for my laptop workstation for years and loved it. If you are paperless like me, then I don't see a problem with it. Unless it does prevent you from using it as a dining room. I had a hutch nearby that I would just put my computer in at the end of the day, along with anything else I was using.
@Mary- I am excited for your blank canvas-- make beautiful art with it! And remember with any great art piece there needs to be some quiet spaces ;)

I have an old home with big rooms and high celings. There are at least three windows and doors in each room of the house, leaving little wall space. How can I arrange furniture to not block chi?

My home office seems to be a catch all for a variety of stuff that comes into our home. No matter how many times I clean my desk, all manner of junk, mail, receipts, cds, etc. seem to materialize in various stacks on the desk floor and other surfaces.
This room has a side door entrance and is the second room guests see when they come through this door.
I really want this room to be neat, clean, welcoming and a comfortable place in which to work. What can I do to change these clutter patterns that are driving me nuts!

Congratulations on publishing the book Tisha. I am in serious need of a home feng shui consultation. My family is in the process of simplifying our lives and we are removing some of the clutter that interrupts the flow of the household. In addition, I aim to bring a greater sense of calm, sanctuary and positive energy to our home. Best wishes with your continued practice.

Teaching thinking skills to very young children- along with parent education -(focused in the inner city) is my mission in life and everything I do is connected (from art/ music/ brain development/ baby massage/ "hands on" gardening/ baby yoga/ baby sign language to parent newsletters/ parent scrapbooking/ sibling homework/ and volunteer photographer at some childrens' birthday parties in the projects. As a right brain creative teacher, my gift and & my curse is the same: being a very resourceful "packrat" of everything mission related along with 101 ways to use each one. I am overwhelmed with -and in love with-- the useful stuff that brain researchers have proven to create gifted children...

I guess I am lucky to have plenty of space (1000 sq ft) for myself. And I don't have much clutter -- I took care of that part myself. My challenge is how to best use the great room. It connects to the kitchen so I have a dining table. And it works for my living room, too. Because I love the view from the window, I also do the majority of my work here, too, usually on the dining table. It's so multi-functional. I'm just not sure if it's a good idea to have my macbook always on the table. My work blends with my life, and the room represents it. But I don't want to cut up the room with divider, either. Any idea to bring some separation and organization while keeping the benefits of the great room?
